created at: 12/21/2010

This year, I've watched a total of twenty-one Christmas movies and Christmas specials. So far. There are still three essentials to come in the next few days.

I don't normally watch that much TV in three months, but there's something about seasonal specials that turns me into a couch potato, with a candy cane in my mouth, festively lit by my spinning light wheel.

I guess like I feel it's okay, cause I presume everybody does it.

So, I'm hoping you'll prove me right, and I wanna give you something to say thanks. So, between right now and 11:59pm on December 25th, 2010, just tell us your favorite Christmas movie or television special, and you'll be entered to win one of five free copies of one our publications, Make It! Hardware Store Decor.   created at: 12/21/2010

That's it. Just type the name, tell us why you love it, and you're on your way to a chance at winning a electronic copy of this guy. Here's a few of the projects it shows you how to make:

A Christmas Carol! Watch it every year.

Hi everyone - thanks for your comments! It was great to hear about which seasonal films feel like Christmas to you. As for me, I struggle to pick just one, but it wouldn't be Christmas for me without watching Home Alone and It's a Wonderful Life, then a viewing of A Christmas Story and my childhood favorite, A Claymation Christmas Celebration on Christmas eve.

Congrats to our winners - Julie, Elizabeth, Connie, Kate, and Ryan! Please check your email for info on how to get your copy of Make It! Hardware Store Decor.

And for those of you who'd still love the book, there's a pretty sweet deal for all our eBooks. You can get all three for only $20!

Thanks again. I hope your holidays were amazing!

I know I'm late commenting, but here's mine:

MUPPET FAMILY CHRISTMAS

(specifically the original broadcast I have taped off TV in 1987 with kick-ass '80s commercials - especially the Osh-Kosh-Bgosh ones)

Holiday Inn!

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.  We watch it once a year, but quote from it all year round!  "I don't know, Margo!"

Elf!!

A Christmas Story.

Robbie the Reindeer!

How can you not love a Nick Park production and animation that is a cross between "rudolph" and "rocky"?????

Polar Express.  It's one I can watch alone or with any little one and still love it.

Hands down, Charlie Brown Christmas! :)

Charlie Brown Peanuts Christmas !!Love it, cant wait for my kids to see it- I think I like the memories of growing up watching it as much as the movie!

The Ref.  Funny and Kevin Spacy, yummy.

Die Hard.  Best Christmas movie ever.

Charlie Brown Christmas Special.. By far.. Also serves as my favorite Christmas album. Love Guaraldi's music, the classic characters and animation. It's just very nostalgic without being too corny.

My favorite movie is Miracle on 34th Street. The origanal one in black and white. In my area they used to show it directly after the Macy's Day Parade on Thnaksgiving. It always started the Holiday season for me.

+1 for Elf. Chris, what's yours!?

pee wee's christmas special. I've watched it every year since I was a little guy.

My all time favorite Christmas movie has to be "The Christmas Toy."  There's just something that really sparks a memory of my childhood.  I watched it every year that it was aired, and I've been searching for a copy of it for the past several years.  Don't get the dvd!  They cut Kermit out entirely, and being the storyteller, he's pretty important.

Elf. It's become somewhat of a holiday tradition in my classroom. We all love it!
