Make This: Old License Plate, New Box

Vintage pieces are always fun to work with. Aside from looking great, they tell a story through dents, scratches, and a style that once was. Here's a quick tutorial on how to turn a vintage license plate into a great snack box for the mancave.   Working with metal has always been a bit intimidating to me. I'm comfortable with wood, leather, and other materials, but metal is just another medium that takes some time to master. Here's a great introduction project to start working with metal, using only a set of metal snips and a block of wood.

The project creates a cool box that's already painted and can be shown off proudly with about an hour of work.
