Drinkify: An App that Chooses the Perfect Drink to Match the Music You’re Listening To…

Drinkify is new web app that makes a cocktail suggestion based on what music your listening to. Simply type in the artist currently cruising out of your speakers, and press “what should I drink?” (in lovely Futura), and it’ll pull up the perfect drink to match.

   According to Gothamist “It’s powered by connecting The Echo Nest, Last.fm, a drinks database, and “what’s left of our livers,” and it seems likes at least one of those pulls in lyrics by the band, as evidenced by a few of the choices:

From Grendel’s Mother, In the great hall you drink red wine, You chew meat off the bone; I beat down the new path to the castle, I come naked and alone”

“Well I ain’t feeling happy about the state of things in my life; But I’m working to make it better, with a six of Miller High Life; Just drinking and a-driving, making sure my dues get paid; Because alienation’s for the rich, and I’m feeling poorer every day”
