Whoa….Those are Wood?! Surreal Hand-Carved Sculptures
Duramen is a series of hand-carved wooden sculptures made by Bonsoir Paris that looks like something out of Salvidor Dali painting or possibly a prop from the movie Aliens.
Bonsoir Paris and its team were able to transform a variety of hardwoods into amorphous, fluid-like sculptures with incredible skill. If it weren’t for the visible wood grain in the these pieces, I would swear that they were made from some resin or plastic.
