Touch-Sensitive DIY Mario Block Lamp Kit
I came across this touch sensitive Super Mario Brothers question mark block lamp on Etsy the other day and was really excited because…well, I’m a geek who grew up in the 80s. I mean, how cool is it that you can “punch” that infamous 8-bit block hanging from the ceiling and it lights up?
But when got me even more excited was when I learned that Bryan Duxbury, the creator of the lamp, also sells DIY kits so you can make your own touch sensitive 8-bit block lamp!
The kit to make this 6″ square lamp made of laser-cut acrylic is lit from the inside by LEDs (energy efficiency is cool, right?).
The DIY kit can be purchased for $54.99. And for those of you that aren’t into making it yourself, you can buy a pre-assembled lamp or $74.99.
