A Tent Suspended from the Trees
Now this is one cool tent. Part hammock and part tent, the Tentsile is suspended in the air by anchoring it high up to three trees (and one anchor in the ground). While it seemed a little outlandish to me at first, this design makes total sense for people camping in places with uneven or muddy ground. Or for people that decide to camp above viper pits too I suppose.
This unique tent employs tension forces as opposed to poles, making it surprisingly comfortable (or so I’m told) and adaptable to variety of environments.
The only thing I’m a little unsure of is how I would climb up those trees to attach the cables, but I guess if you’re the type of person that would be sleeping in this tent, that’s probably not a big problem for you.
