Finally, A Sewing Kit for Men
If you go to any craft store and head to the “notions” section and check out the sewing kits and boxes, you will notice they: 1) are made of wicker and look like a kitten should be poking its head out of the lid, or 2) they are covered in flowers. Big, ornate, fancy flowers. I’ve been looking for years, and I’ve had to settle for storing my sewing gear in an old tackle box.
Design student Sean Gardner noticed the same thing, and decided to do something about it.
He created Oxford.
Oxford is a sewing kit for the well-dressed, young professional male. Oxford has the rugged look that men are looking for. The box is a stained and coated cigar box.
The top level has a pincushion, seam ripper, tape measure and scissors. The bottom level has needles, pins, and thread.
There are compartments to store your thimble, threader and extra buttons. The box is something that any guy would use to keep his suits and shirts in shape and looking great.
Sean created the project for an assignment to re-brand a new product, or a current one. He gets an A+ from ManMade.
