Studio Tour: Andy’s Nerd Cave

Andy DuCett is a Minneapolis-based artist and maker, who works in a variety of media, and has created an awesome space for all his tools and other goodies to live and work together.

Oh, and by “other goodies,” I mean hundreds of toys and action figures, mixed in with high tech design gear, power tools, and all sorts of art supplies.  

Andy says the biggest challenge in his space was, “figuring out how to best use the space for the different mediums I work with. There had to be a section to do large scale drawings, so the moveable wall in front of the garage door was a great way to make that possible and make that side of the garage usable. The rest of the wall and floor space had to be devoted to my sculptural installations, as those can get quite large.”
