DIY Idea: Build a Minimal Corner Book Shelf

There’s plenty about Scandinavian design that’s so appealing and lends itself to a masculine aesthetic: the clean shapes, and classic color combos, etc. And (but?) this book shelf idea though can fit almost any place, modern or not, and that’s kinda what I love about it.   

If you’d like to make something similar, you could use:

• Galvanized pipe fittings and flanges 
• Thin sheets of plywood or luan to make shelves (galvanized metal sheets would also work)
• Paint in the color of your choice (you can also just leave the metal as is, or -even better – use copper pipes!

Once you have everything ready you pretty much can play around with the shape, to customize it to your corner. Regardless of where you place it, be sure to experiment and create something with visual interest, making a subtle design statement.
