Ikea Hack: Make Straws from Ice!

If IKEA had an impulse buy section, the Plastis ice tray would be in it. You’ve seen it, it makes long ice tubes to slip into the not-so-wide mouths of reusable water bottles.

   Instructable user trebuchet03 came up with this excellent improvement: wedging drinking straws into each tray creates a negative relief as the water freezes, and once frozen, the plastic straw is removed, leaving a perfect space through which you can suck through all sorts of tasty thirst-quenchers.
