How to: Make a Gorgeous Gregorian Style Bracket Clock [Out of Popsicle Sticks]
It’s been years since I built anything of substance out of Popsicle sticks, but this design by Alvenh Channe proves that there’s no limit to any specific medium so long as you put his thoughtful foresight and dedicated craft. Alvenh had originally been searching for a traditional wall clock that had actual mechanical movements and finding none, decided he’d build one himself… The clock has that real spring-wound antique movement that keeps time with a ticking pendulum and strikes the hour on a bell. The dial is hand painted using acrylic paints on scrap sheet steel cut to shape and then the clock face has been adorned with paintings of his German shepherd. A lovely addition to any bedside table.
