How To: Winterize Your Bike to Ride in the Snow
Outside, the ground has been covered in snow since our first fall back in December, and its still falling. Which means my bicycle’s been in the garage for six weeks, and I’m getting a little antsy. And the recumbent exercise bike just isn’t cutting it.
The trick? Zip ties on your tires help provide traction on the ice and snow. They’re inexpensive, easy to attach, and don’t harm your tires or require you to change the tires when spring time arrives. Just snip them off.
